In the U.S. the clinics were being conducted by well known drag racers, but because American press is so damn MYOPIC, they didn't see what else was going on around the continent unless someone named Don was going to be racing there.

The U.S. Plymouth division had SOX and Martin of North Carolina.
Don Grotheer of Oklahoma represented the Plymouth line of performance cars.
The U.S. Dodge division had Dick Landy from California.
Bill Tanner of Georgia to represent the Dodge line of performance cars.

The success of these performance clinics were remarkable for their time.

The Duster was converted to look like a Demon for the 1971 year, and a 71 Barracuda was over acid dipped by accident

The "FORD OF CANADA PERFORMANCE CLINIC" was Canada's version of the American Ford Drag Team, which operated in 1970. The Canadian Drag Team used a G/SA 429-CJ Cyclone, a H/S 428-CJ Cougar, a SS/HA 428-CJ Mustang, and a Pro Stock 427 SOHC Mustang, all 1970 models. The concept was similar the US drag team, except this team traveled together on a huge 4-car transporter, known as the "Titanic".

Today, half of the Ford of Canada Performance Clinic cars are known to remain. the Cougar was sold in 1971 and raced in Ontario until the mid’90’s when it was reportedly destroyed in a crash. The Pro Stock Mustang was scrapped and its powerplant placed in a Funny Car. Meanwhile, the Cyclone is said to be undergoing a light restoration and was spotted on eBay some years back in virtually original condition. The 428 Mustang was also sold in ’71 and raced in Super Stock for a handful of years before exchanging hands again to its current owners. The car remains as the most well-kept of the four, retaining 99% of its original ’70 Drag Team paint scheme along with the vintage decals and original Fenton wheels.
