Now what in the world did this, and how, to my windshield?

a car so new it doesn't even have license plates yet, choose it's parking spot poorly, in a parking garage on the corner where poor judgement caused a minivan to cut the corner to close and trade paint

I was driving up the ramp when I saw the blue mini van rub on the white Kia, but didn't have my camera ready to get photos of the license plate, etc.

It's like I posted before, don't park too close to where people turn, they aren't good at driving, and are likely to damage your car http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2013/05/learn-from-other-peoples-mistakes-dont.html

I've only seen a few examples of currency from other countries, but never seen a train on money before

Finally, an American dealership nails the top 2 awards from Rolls Royce for it's dealerships

Rolls-Royce’s 1st American dealership awardee of the National and the Global ‘Dealer of the Year’ awards simultaneously.

Brahman Motorcars in Palm Beach Florida is recognized as the top dealer in 2014 among 127 Roll-Royce Motorcars retailers worldwide and 41 in North America. In addition, they signal that North America has re-gained the title of largest sales region for Rolls-Royce with a 30% increase from 2013 to 2014.

In addition to customer satisfaction, Rolls-Royce also reviews dealership operations as well as sales of both in-inventory vehicles and ‘bespoke’ models that are custom-ordered to customer specifications. The amount of bespoke content doubled between 2013 and 2014,  now accounting for 80% of sales.

Each Rolls-Royce Motor car is hand crafted at the company’s state-of-the-art assembly facility in Goodwood, England. Rolls-Royce cars are so exclusive that just 4,063 were built worldwide last year, yet this number marked a record fifth consecutive year of growth.

Early 1920's Packard

Hot Rod has a great story on their Facebook page today, a guy came back from Nam, traded in his 442, and used the wedding ring money, to buy this 1969 Charger 500

and recently, went for the stock racing look

Of course his wife was pissed that he used the wedding ring funds for a car, and has griped that he should sell it (over the last 45 years) but he told her the day she sold her horses, he'd sell his horsepower. She never took him up on that.

Big Bertha, it's been 6 or 7 years since I've seen it

In the late 1960s when a young art student named Michael Leeds discovered a well-stocked junkyard in Monrovia, Calif., while searching for project material. He paid $250 for the front half of a "retired" 1941 Seagraves hook-and-ladder truck and drove it 360 miles to his shop with the 1,000-cubic-inch V-12 engine only managing three miles per gallon.

He became obsessed with the idea of transforming the Seagraves into a boat-tailed roadster - Living the bohemian life in an abandoned redwood water tank in the old orchard, ingenuity and resourefulness was the name of the game - A ’49 Studebaker pickup truck hood was turned around backwards and became the top of the boatail.

Big Bertha was modified, sold, bought and traded several times during the next 30-plus years, but the ever-changing beast kept returning to Leeds' garage.

Three times from '72 to '90 Big Bertha went to a new home, and three times Michael bought it back.

Normally pulling all 9,600 pounds of Big Bertha down the road would be a formidable challenge, however this truck was built to haul an 85-ft. aerial ladder and is equipped accordingly. Under the hood is a 980 cubic inch V-12 Seagraves engine. Powerful and rugged, these power plants were designed to run continuously at fire scenes for as long as necessary. For reliability the engine has redundant ignition systems with two plugs per cylinder, two distributors, four coils and the pan holds 25 quarts of oil. Behind the brawny mill is the original Eaton four-speed.

During the mid-1990s, the artist committed himself to transforming the Seagraves into the magnificent hot rod he always imagined it could be.

Drawing inspiration from a 1924 Hispano Suiza Tulipwood Torpedo-a wood-bodied roadster that France's Nieuport Aviation crafted for aviator/race car driver André Dubonnet-Leeds devoted years to creating each and every body panel on the car.

His plan to execute a "simple, practical" design was discarded when he met glass artist and hot-rod fanatic Randy Grubb, who convinced him the project deserved every ounce of creativity Leeds could muster. As a result, the fenders and "boattail" segment were elongated to give Big Bertha perfect, 1930s-era proportions.

tearing down a 2 CV in less than 2.1 minutes, and putting it back together in 3

I find this just astonishing that a car can be completely taken apart and put back together in about 6 minutes... can anyone verify that this is a typical build? Nothing trick about the hinges, connections, etc? If they designed this car to be this easy to tear apart then I'm more amazed.

Hooniverse posts about an incredible Jeep collection, the Omix-ADA collection in Suwanee, Georgia

The Willys MA on the left has by far the most interesting story of these three though as it has the distinction of being the only one sunk in the war. Yes, sunk. It was strapped down to a Marine landing vessel at the Battle of Saipan when it was hit by enemy fire and sunk in a shallow harbor. Sometime after the battle, Navy divers swam by, went “oh look, a Jeep!”, and brought it up. The Willys was repaired, brought back into service, and served throughout the rest of WWII in the Pacific. At the end of the war, some newly retired soldiers decided to drive it home because they figured it wasn’t needed anymore. 1,553 were built and only 25 are known to exist – 8 of which are known to be restored in the US.

Omix-ADA is one of the world’s largest independent manufacturer and wholesaler companies that specialize in all things Jeep.

allright, this car gets left alone... I got no argument with the Dude that put up this note, because the AC is on high, and the dog is listening to Creedence man... that's cool.
